The CSSP Student Council’s volunteer program “Pahinungod ng mga Makabagong Social Scientist” was launched on January 26 at Culiat High School in Quezon City.
The program aims to “promote appreciation of…respective disciplines [of CSSP],” according to Pahinungod head Aiken Alagban.
Sixteen volunteers from UP Kabataang Pilosopo Tasyo and Population Institute Professor Josefine Cabigon’s CWTS class taught critical thinking to 16 high school students in a one-hour discussion introducing social sciences and philosophy. CSSP students and organizations are invited by the student council to be volunteers for Pahinungod which will last until the end of semester. ▪
